Earn your EMT certification in just over two weeks — fully residential, in the heart of Washington, DC. The GW Training Center EMT Accelerated Academy is an immersive program that takes motivated candidates from foundational knowledge to NREMT psychomotor readiness in a single focused intensive. Built and led by GW Training Center faculty, the Academy pairs a guided online pre-work phase with fifteen days of hands-on, in-person instruction in a small-cohort setting.
One tuition covers everything from the moment you arrive in DC to the moment you leave. Lodging, ground transportation, and meals are all included, along with organized local outings in the nation's capital. You arrive, and we take care of the rest — so you can focus entirely on becoming an EMT instead of logistics.
Capped at ten candidates per cohort and staffed by two dedicated instructors, the Academy holds a 5:1 skills ratio, so every candidate gets repeated, coached repetitions on every required skill — not a seat in the back of a large classroom. Candidates complete a required online learning phase before arrival, then attend in person for the full residential intensive. Upon successful completion, graduates are prepared to sit for the National Registry (NREMT) cognitive examination and to pursue DC, Maryland, or Virginia EMT licensure.
